Lisa Becker was born in Sacramento and grew up at the end of a charming dirt road in the rural town of Loomis, California. She earned a marketing degree from San Diego State University and spent 15 years working in the film industry as a production coordinator and supervisor.
Lisa took a hiatus from the film industry to raise her children and found that motherhood jump-started her muse. She's a warrior wife, mother and stepmother who craves coffee, nature and time on a horse. She can usually be found playing driveway basketball, rescuing a critter, volunteering again or driving her kids everywhere. Lisa has published creative nonfiction in L.A. Family Magazine and various literary anthologies and is working on a book about motherhood and blended families. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Josh, their blended family and three rescued cats.
